Colourpoint Creative Ltd is the largest publishing house in Northern Ireland and includes Blackstaff Press, Colourpoint Educational, Colourpoint Books, the self-publishing service April Sky Design as well as providing distribution services for other publishers.
Blackstaff Press, founded in 1971, is an iconic brand with a long and rich heritage of publishing quality Irish books. The publishing programme is wideranging and diverse and embraces both fiction and non-fiction covering a range of subjects including history, politics, memoir, sport, fiction, poetry, cookery and travel.
Colourpoint Books was found in 1993 by husbandand- wife Norman and Sheila Johnston. The company is now owned and operated by their sons Malcolm and Wesley Johnston. Originally specialising in transport, the current publishing programme is focused on non-fiction and embraces both transport and general Irish interest titles.
Colourpoint Educational has also operated since 1993 and provides a range of textbooks, eBooks and digital resources for Northern Ireland students at Key Stage 3, GCSE and AS/A2/A-level.
