Poetry Ireland

Founded in 1979, Poetry Ireland connects poetry and people. We are an all-island literature resource organisation, bringing people together with poets and poetry through publications, education initiatives, live literature events, and development programmes. Our work focuses on making poetry accessible to the widest possible audience and serving the needs of poets at all stages of their careers. We publish the acclaimed Poetry Ireland Review three times a year and Trumpet once a year. We also publish an online journal to accompany our Introductions / Céadlínte annual development programme for early career poets. Poetry Ireland receives support from The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and The Arts Council of Northern Ireland and we enjoy rewarding partnerships with arts centres, festivals, schools, colleges and bookshops at home and abroad.
